This name generator can create 15 names appropriate for the Star Wars universe Jawa race. Jawas are a passive breed of small, rodent-like creatures, but their presence is still concealed under their normally brown robes. The only parts of them that are visible are their hairy paws, and their sparkling yellow eyes to some degree, but they too are concealed behind orange gemstones to shield them from bright sunlight. Jawas are known for their passion for trading and their quest for more technology, typically to trade it too. They are also notorious for swindling, for the provocation of other animals. Faulty droids, obsolete equipment and other malfunctioning resources are common occurrence. Names for Jawa are very complicated and difficult for other species to understand and/or pronounce, just like their language. The length can vary considerably, so that it is possible to pronounce names shorter and simpler, but the longer names are also much more complicated. Often male names have sharper tones, while female names also have softer tones. Except in a number of cases the opposite is valid too, but it's relatively rare.

The name "Jawa" means "one who travels on foot." In the Star Wars saga, the Jawas of the Galactic Republic is one of the most important alien races. Jawa scavengers and traders often bring exotic merchandise back from distant worlds. They also carry large amounts of goods, and they travel in small, highly compacted spaceships. Jawas were originally semi-sentient species of giant humanoids originally native to the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine. Some Jawas were also known as Offworld Jawa, those who migrated to Tatooine from other worlds. Jawas who settled on Tatooine and were called offworld Jawas, or Jawans.
One of the first people the Jawa ever met on their journey into the galaxy were the ancient Ewoks of Endor. They were the first inhabitants of the Death Star. Over time, the Ewoks took to be traders, and eventually traders of star maps, and they would even take an Ewok child to meet his or her destiny of becoming a Jedi, which was the chosen race of Luke Skywalker. In the early days of the Empire, the Jawans were among the first peoples to be displaced by Imperial expansion, and in one instance they were forced out of the Core World of Mon Calamari by the Emperor's forces.
Although it is never explicitly stated that the Jawans were an immediate hit when the Empire expanded into the galaxy, many of their worlds were soon destroyed by Imperial ships, and many of the ships that destroyed their worlds were taken by the Emperor's Imperial navy. The Jawa civilization survived long enough to form one of the earliest organized star systems, the Great Aachen Fleet, which would become an important trading colony in the New Republic, where the Jawa people still reside today. When the Empire fell, many of the Jawa population escaped into space. Others would find refuge on worlds like Hoth, Tatooine, and Dac Kisco. On many of these worlds, they lived for centuries, building up a civilization based on their knowledge of the local flora and fauna, and their trading skills. Eventually, after the Clone Wars, some of these worlds became centers for resistance movements against the Galactic Empire, as they formed the Resistance.
